The open-world survival game "Phantom Beast Palu", developed by Pocketpair, was launched in early access on January 18, 2024, but the game is suspected of borrowing a lot from "Pokémon" and other works, and although it has been well received by players, it was still formally sued by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company in September.

Recently, with the announcement of various nominations for TGA 2024, players found that "Phantom Beast Palu", which was popular in the first half of 2024, did not receive any nominations, which caused dissatisfaction among some players.

Bucky, the global community manager of Paloo, also tweeted to appease players, saying that it was reasonable not to be nominated, and hoped that "players don't exaggerate too much, not everything is a conspiracy".

However, Bucky complained about another game, believing that the official version of "The Happiness Factory" in September 2024 was the one that should be nominated, but was "1000% snubbed" and said that "I will personally express this opinion at the Game Awards".

Although the failure of Palu to be nominated for TGA 2024 has caused dissatisfaction among some players, it is not surprising that it will not be nominated this year, considering that the game is still in early beta (meaning it has not been officially released).
