Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore looter shooter where you bring gear into raids, extract with your findings, and build your stash.  Death means losing everything you brought in.  The in-game flea market allows you to buy and sell gear, adding a layer of economic depth to the experience.  A key aspect of Tarkov is its periodic wipes, which we'll explain in detail here.

As Escape from Tarkov's servers are located overseas, players may experience high latency and connection issues. Lagofast game booster offers a one-click solution to optimize your network for a smoother Tarkov experience.

Wipes in Escape from Tarkov serve as a catch-up mechanic for new players, injecting fresh life into the game and encouraging exploration of new maps and content. The upcoming wipe is scheduled for December 28-29.

After a wipe, only playtime is preserved.  All other progress, including items, gear, character level, skills, and quest progress, will be reset.  Essentially, everyone starts fresh. Standard Edition players will retain their 2x2 secure container and standard stash size, while Edge of Darkness Edition owners keep their 3x3 secure container and larger stash.

This concludes our explanation of the Escape from Tarkov wipe mechanics. We hope this information helps you prepare for the upcoming reset.
