Blade & Soul NEO, developed with Unreal Engine 4 (UE4), often presents players on European and American servers with engine-level errors due to driver compatibility issues, system permissions, or network fluctuations. This article combines official UE4 debugging guidelines and community-tested solutions to offer six targeted fixes covering network optimization, rendering module resets, and system permission repairs.

Method 1: Optimize Network with Lagofast Game Booster

UE4's online verification module demands high network stability. Packet loss during transatlantic connections can lead to authentication timeouts and fatal errors. Lagofast Game Booster optimizes the TCP protocol handshake and data packet retransmission mechanisms, reducing the probability of connection interruptions.  Launch the Lagofast client, search for "Blade & Soul NEO International", and activate acceleration. Method 2: Reset Render Cache

Official client users should delete the `dxgi.dll` and `igd10iumd64.dll` files (if present) in the `BNS_NeoBinariesWin64` directory. Then, perform a "Force Complete Update" in the launcher. Afterward, manually delete the `C:Users[Username]AppDataLocalBNS_NeoSavedShaderCache` folder. The engine will automatically recompile shaders upon restarting the game.

Method 3: Update Graphics Drivers and Disable GPU Overclocking

NVIDIA 5xx series and AMD drivers prior to 22.x have compatibility issues with UE4's asynchronous computing. Download the latest Studio/Game Ready drivers from the respective manufacturer's website (NVIDIA recommends 536.99 or later, AMD recommends 23.9.1 or later). Select "Perform a clean installation" during installation and restart your computer. Also, download the "DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer" to fix missing d3dcompiler_47.dll components. Finally, run `sfc /scannow` in the command prompt to scan and repair protected system files.

Method 5: Modify Virtual Memory and Disable Memory Compression

UE4 engine memory allocation exceptions can trigger "Out of video memory" errors. Right-click "This PC", select "Properties" - "Advanced system settings" - "Performance settings" - "Advanced" - "Virtual memory." Disable automatic management and set the initial size to 16GB (16384MB) and the maximum size to 32GB (32768MB) for the system drive. Run PowerShell as administrator and enter `Disable-MMAgent -MemoryCompression` to disable Windows memory compression.  Restart and verify in Task Manager that "Commit Charge" exceeds the game's recommended 12GB requirement.

Method 6: Reset EasyAntiCheat Service Permissions

Incorrect permissions for the anti-cheat service can cause UE4 initialization failures. Locate the `EasyAntiCheat` folder in the game directory (`BNS_NeoBinariesWin64EasyAntiCheat`). Right-click `EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe` and select "Run as administrator." Choose the game name and click "Repair Service."  Then, open Windows Services (services.msc), locate the "EasyAntiCheat" service, double-click to open its properties, change the Log On as to "Local System account", and check "Allow service to interact with desktop." Restart your system and test game launch.
